Effective January 2007 the Florida Legislature changed the name of Occupational Licenses to Local Business Taxes and in order to maintain consistency with the statutory changes , the Florida Association of Occupational Licensing Officials (FAOLO) changed its name to the Florida Association of Business Tax Officials (FABTO).
To provide a professional association where business tax officials may
cooperate and consider matters of mutual concern, including the exchange of ideas and information
among the municipalities and counties from throughout the state of Florida.
FABTO membership is divided by six local chapters based on geographical locations within Florida.

HB 7109 (this years Local Business Tax bill) has officially "Died in Committee" as of May 3rd. If you are interested you can find the final disposition of the bill at http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/Sections/Bills/bills.aspx and search HB 7109.
Welcome to the FABTO website!
As always, it is vital to make certain that your city or county is
administering the Local Business Tax correctly and stays up to date in regards
to the latest Local Business Tax information and legislation. FABTO and the FABTO Annual Educational Conference remain the best sources for Local Business Tax education and information.
Keep in mind that the community discussion forums section of the FABTO website is a great way to network and exchange business tax information with fellow business tax professionals from around the state between conferences and chapter meetings. Please be sure to log on under the Member Area tab and make use of this valuable tool. If you have not already registered as a user please click here. Remember, you must be a current member of FABTO to use the discussion forums.
The Board of Directors would like to continue to encourage every member to become active with FABTO at the chapter or state level (or both). If you are aware of any individuals or areas that may benefit from being a part of FABTO please tell them about us or let us know about them.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding FABTO please let us know . We're here to help. Thanks again and we look forward to hearing from each of you and seeing you all again at next years conference!
Sincerely,
Joshua Allen
FABTO President
