A Non-Profit Professional Association |
The Florida Association of Business Tax Officials, Inc. is a professional association
meeting the needs of municipal and county business tax officials in Florida. The organization was established in 1988 as the Florida Association of Occupational Licensing Officials, Inc. by the Bay Area Chapter. As statewide interest grew the Central Florida, Gold Coast, Big Bend, Palm Beach, and Treasure Coast Chapters were formed. The Florida Legislature changed the name of Occupational Licenses to Local Business Taxes and in April 2007 we changed our name to maintain consistency. There are currently more than 500 active members statewide.
